Client’s Wish List:

Our client was building a new home (approx. 9,000 sq.ft.) and wanted to incorporate the design of the home entertainment and automation systems as the home was being constructed, so their builder contacted us. The homeowners wanted more than the typical sound system throughout the house; they wanted an integrated system, including audio/video, lighting, security cameras, and climate control, that was intuitive, easy to operate, and controllable from any room in the house. And they wanted all the equipment to be hidden away, with as little wall clutter as possible, so as not to distract from the beautiful aesthetics of the home design and décor.

How Wishes Were Granted:

We started the project by interviewing the homeowner to determine exactly what they wanted to achieve. We spent hours learning about decorating plans and asking in-depth questions to get the complete picture. We worked with the builder from the ground up as the fifth tradesman, along with the plumbers, HVAC technicians, electricians, and woodworkers. We were involved from the planning stages to the finished home, completing our part of the finishing touches.

The result? We designed a completely automated system involving audio/video with cable hookup, CCTV systems (surveillance cameras), HVAC (climate) control, and motorized window shades. Then we divided the house into zones for more specific control. As the interface to control the entire system, we installed in-wall touch screens throughout primary spaces in the house. This simple, discreet touch screen eliminated unsightly “wall acne” or clutter created by numerous wall switches and panels. And all wiring and extraneous equipment was out-of-sight – confined to one area of the basement.

“The final installation has far exceeded our expectations. If I have a problem, Stuarts responds quickly. In fact, Stuart even made on-the-spot adjustments during the photo shoot for this website.”
